Dooragan Room – 4 – 6 years (year before school)
The Dooragan room offers a school readiness program for children aged four to six years based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). The EYLF has a strong emphasis on play-based learning as the best vehicle for young children’s learning, which also provides the most appropriate stimulus for brain development. The EYLF also recognises the importance of communication and language (including early literacy, numeracy, social and emotional development).
We believe the value of play is of utmost importance to children as it is their way of learning about their world. While children are playing, they can express their creative ability, release emotions, learn to recognise and share their feelings.
We aim to guide your child in becoming an effective learner through creating an environment that is dynamic, challenging and stimulating. The overall aim of our preschool program is to help your child in developing all areas necessary for a successful transition to school and in their later years.
